From town hall to business park
The story of why an old municipal building in Snillfjord is now full of offices, workshops and activity.
The story
Krokstadøra was once the administrative center of Snillfjord municipality. When Snillfjord was later split between three new municipalities, the building lost its original purpose — and with it, much of the activity in the village. Today the former town hall and its surrounding buildings stand ready to be filled with life again: offices, workshops, storage, retail premises and a historic course hall seating 100–150 people. Rather than let a solid, well-built building sit empty, we're turning it into a flexible business park — with some of Trøndelag's most beautiful nature as its nearest neighbor.
Part of Ægir Group
Krokstadøra Business Park is run by Ægir Group AS, which also operates Ægir VR Arena and Ægir Maritime Academy. That brings a few practical advantages: the building already houses its own VR arena for team building and social gatherings, and expertise from maritime course and certification work is never far away for tenants connected to aquaculture or maritime service.
